We are very close to opening The Art Studio and we have to hit the ground running. Our next important step is to create and coordinate a schedule for classes and open studio time.

We would like to hear from everyone that would like to teach a class or workshop to submit a plan, including a description of your class or workshop, length of time, day or days of week and time you would like to schedule your class. Once compiled we can get an idea of interest and availability and begin to create a calendar/grid.

Our hours will be from 8:00am until 12mid., 7 days a week, so there should be a good range of time for classes to fit everyone’s schedule.

We hope this one last push will help in the completion of our project so we can open in April. You’ll hear great music, meet our artists and hopefully go home with some fabulous art or a great deal on many services being donated by our members and supporters. See You There!!

There are more items being added to the Silent Auction every day. Please check the tab on the upper right hand corner of this site to see the new additions and you can pre-bid by adding a comment with the corresponding Auction Item Number. As you know our Silent Auction will begin on Saturday, March 24th at 5:00pm and commence after the Zoe Lewis Concert later that night. There is still time to donate Art, Goods or Services to the auction. Please fill out the contact sheet if you wish to donate. See you at The Art Studio on the 24th!

Come to Francis Field this Saturday, March 10th for The Celtic Fest. We will be sharing a booth with The Civic Association of St. Augustine Beach and promoting The Art Studio, selling memberships and Zoe Lewis Concert tickets. We would like to thank The Romanza Group and The Civic Association for their generous offer for us to participate in what will be a great event.

This coming Monday, March 5th at 7:00 The City Commission of Saint Augustine Beach will make its final decision as to the fate of the small historic out building next to The Art Studio. We need the public’s support for one last push to help save the building from demolition and that it be used for an arts studio. If members of the Saint Augustine Beach Community believe that having an Art Studio available for local artists would provide an invaluable service to the community and would like to save this historic building for this use, please leave your name and comment if you wish to act as a petition we can submit, or you can contact your commissioners, or attend the city commission meeting and speak on behalf of saving this building.
